Rev. Beth Hutton
Pastor Beth is an ordained United Methodist elder and joined the team at Calvary in July 2018. She has an undergraduate degree in History from George Mason University, a masters in Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and is currently studying for her Doctorate in Ministry through Wesley in Cambridge, England. Pastor Beth grew up as an army brat calling home both Germany and Northern Virginia. She's a busy mom of three and can be found on the sidelines, court-side or at scout meeting most of her time off.
Director of Music Ministries
Joanna has been performing, teaching and directing music for 20+ years. In addition to directing music at Calvary, she runs a private music studio offering piano and vocal instruction out of her home in Damascus. Joanna is an active soloist in the Washington DC/ Metro area and greatly enjoys sharing her passion for all music. In her free time Joanna is an avid backpacker and can most likely be found outdoors hiking and backpacking with her daughter, Liza and her husband, James.
Chan joined us here at Calvary in November 2018. Chan is from Daegu, South Korea and is currently pursuing his PhD and serving as a graduate assistant at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. Prior to living in Balitmore, Chan studied and worked at Yale University and New England Conservatory.
Brittney joined our Calvary team in January 2020 as our Office Administrator. She keeps our office and church running smoothly with a cheerful disposition. Brittney has a Masters in Education in Special Education from UMD and a B.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Longwood College. Brittney lives in Sykesville with her husband and teenage son. Brittney brings to Calvary a tremendous understanding of church management and culture and we are so lucky to have her!
